Dragon Elements
The Dragons of Fire govern the southern quarter of the magickal circle. The dragon ruler of fire is known as Fafnir (faf'-near), he oversees the dragons of fire, volcanoes and sunbeams.
Dragons of Fire are generally shades of red, (red is considered the colour
of the south) but can also be shades of orange, gold and yellow. Some fire
dragons are wingless and the salamander, the lizard connected strongly with fire, is said to be a neo-dragon.
The subspecies of the Fire-element dragons are those of fire and volcanoes.
The desert and arid-region dragons and those of chaos and destruction often work closely with the draconic entities of fire.
Dragons of Fire are associated with: noon, summer, the sun, heat.
Positive aspects are: activity, change, passion, courage, strength, leadership, mastery, transformation.
Negative aspects are: hate, jealousy, fear, ego, anger, war, conflict, harmfulness.
Other creatures associated with Fire are: salamanders, the phoenix, cats, snakes, lizards, scorpions.
Magickal tools ruled by Fire are: candles, the sword or dagger, incense burner.
Magickal goals aided by Air are: banishing illness, competitions and
contests, courage, creativity, defense, loyalty, protection, sex, strength, success.
