Dedicated to Dad's as Veterans

My Dad, Russ, joined the Navy in 1945 at 17 years old.  This is a picture of him on November 15th 1945.  San Diego after boot camp.  This is his ship during World War II.  He had many stories of his times in the Navy.  I have always believed he enjoyed those times and always talked about the things he did and the trouble he sometimes got into.  He was in the Navy for 4 years and had been all over the world.  He truly believed in fighting for Freedom.  My dad died in 1995 and I will always believe that the time he spent in the Navy were some of his best times.  This page is dedicated to him.

This is my father-in-law.  Bill was drafted in 1941 into the Army and was stationed in San Diego, LaJolla, California and the Philippines during World War II.  He was willing to lay down his life for the Freedom of the United States.

My husbands grandfather fought in W.W.I.  Although he fought in the Canadian Army, he fought for Freedom.  He had many stories, and songs from the war, some he sang, some he couldn't sing because of the words, but he always remembered the time he was in the service for his country, even at the age of 96.
