WHL Player Spotlight

There are a lot of great players in the WHL and we have a lot of favorites on other teams. Each month we will put the spotlight on a different WHL player. If you have any suggestions of who deserves to be on this page email us with some stats and info and why the player should be up here. This month, we shine the spotlight on the Moose Jaw Warrior's Jamie Lundmark.

# 17 Jamie Lundmark

Jamie was born on January 16, 1981   in Edmonton, AB to his parents Dean and    Lorrraine Lundmark. He has a younger       brother, Jason, 14.
Jamie currently plays center with the Moose Jaw Warriors. In 1999, he was drafted in the 1st round,9th overall to the New York Rangers.
Last season proved to be not a bad season for Jamie, he played in the WHL all star game, and made it on to the Canadian world juniors team, where he "lit it up". He ended up having to go one on one with his now former teamate, Rastislav Stana...and he sure showed him! hehehe
It wasn't all good for Jamie though. After he got back from the world juniors, he realized his wrist was bothering him, and it sidelined him for the last part of the season as well as the playoffs. I'm sure the Warriors wouldn't have minded having him in the line up...they lost out big time to the Hitmen.
Wherever Jamie may be headed this season, we wish him the best of luck!

Jamie and Barret got along great as teamates last year on the 1999 Canadian world juniors team
