Swan River: Chris Levesque is gone. Barry Brust is in the Western Hockey League.

Who will be the next netminder of the Swan Valley Stampeders??
Stamps bench boss Mark Johnson thinks he knows.
Netminder Sheldon Tuck was in Swan River last week, searching for a part-time job, while checking out the Stamps' facilities at the Centennial Arena.
The 19 year old native of Esterhazy, SK, was actively sought by as many as 8 teams in the off-season after a remarkable run with the Assiniboia Rebels of the SSJBHL. Tuck's voyage to Swan River started 2 years ago in North Battleford, which saw him drop down to Junior B only to become the most dominating netminder at that level in all of Canada. As a 17 year old, Tuck was a back up with the North Stars on their way to a berth in the Royal Bank Cup. In the Anavet Cup, Tuck had his first experience with the MJHL, specifically the OCN Blizzard. At the beginning of last season, Tuck felt is was his time to step up and see more ice time. His head coach, Jim Fedyk, didn't agree. Tuck didn't make an appearance in the first 10 games of the season, and started losing confidence, asking for his release in Mid October. Fedyk granted Tuck his wish, and he soon found himself with the Rebels in Assiniboia. Fedyk was later fired from his job in North Battleford.
Despite stepping down to the Junior B level, Tuck saw it as an opportunity to once again establish himself as a top notch netminder. Boy, did he ever.

In the regular season, Tuck appeared in 31 games, helping his team post a 31-7-0 record. He posted a GAA of 2.97 and a save percentage of .879 The Rebels also finished the season by going 27 games without a loss, including a 4-0-2 run at the Western Canadian Championships in Maple Ridge, BC. Tuck raised his game to a new level in those 6 games and posted a 2.50 GAA and a dazzling .917 save percentage, leading the Rebels to a Championship win over the host Maple Ridge team. For his efforts, Tuck was named the MVP of the tournament. He also earned that honor at the Rebels year-end banquet.
Tuck says he's optomistic about the upcoming season, and feels the Stampeders have what it takes to go all the way. Wish them the best of luck
