SENATOR LACSON ON THE MUTINY CASE AGST MILITARY

The case, filed last week before the Office of the Ombudsman against Reyes and his alleged confederates by two publishers and three columnists, is a test case for the Arroyo administration, opposition Sen. Panfilo Lacson last Saturday said during a news briefing after the induction of officers of the Baguio Press Club in Baguio City.

"If (the withdrawal of support was) legal, then the military can just stage a coup d'etat anytime they want and anytime they do not like the President," Lacson said.

"If it was illegal, then what will you now make out of it?" he asked.
