"the pocket watch"
i’ve got time in my pocket;
think i’ll keep it there all day, or else
my time might just try to run away
but might i run away from time?
or we’ll both run, like clockwork, for
i’ve got time in my pocket
there’s no idle time
in a race against time
(if i were time, i’d run away too)
time heals, and fun time flies.
either way,
i’ve got time in my pocket
juggling balls of time,
i must not let one drop: for then
i’d have run out of time
it takes time to waste time,
or lose it. after all,
i’ve got time on my hands and
my hand’s in my pocket
- but my pocket’s running away.
