In the Culture Class, we teach the young children about their cultures.  Currently we only have one culture class Hmong culture children at WHRC.  We teach the children how to read and write Hmong, traditional songs, embroidering, cutting, and so on.  Below are a couple of pictures which were taken when our guest speaker showed our children how they play the traditional flute called "Raj Nplaim".  This is a flute for young Hmong, especially young men, who use it to express their feelings toward the girls of their dreams or sometime just for fun..       By KaNeng Lor

Culture Class

This is another picture of KaNeng Lor showed the children about "Qeej Hmoob". This is another instrument that the Hmong used for either entertainment or funeral ceremony.  The main used of this instrument is for funeral ceremony.  Only men are allowed to play this instrument.
