The first thing to do when having a problem 
is to document what you were doing in what software and all error messages. Add the software company support numbers and email addresses to your email contacts for quick retrieval. Also include here the registration numbers for your software with the version and release information you will need this information when you call for support. If you are having a problem  in one particular software package go to the company website to see if the problem is documented and if there is a fix available to download to your computer. Have you installed any new hardware or software since the problem has begun happening ? Go to the website for the software or hardware manufacturer to see if there is a documented problem and or fix to the problem. You can start Windows in a safe mode (check Windows Help for correct procedure by version) to minimize any driver conflicts and help eliminate possible causes of your problem. IMPORTANT before you take any corrective actions be sure you have a good backup copy of all your DATA. If you are having Blue Screen error messages in Windows you are not alone. The most common cause of this problem is a conflict with software and Windows or a hardware device driver program and Windows.
