Well, I just got back from my first 3 1/2 hours work at Science Alive. Things went reasonably smoothly for my first day, except for one mishap when a highschool girl fell off the gyroscope while trying to hop out. This was my fault because I didn't clip on the little clippy thing down the bottom. She wasn't hurt of course, and all her friends got a big laugh out of it which is good. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. I've just been hired on a casual basis, so I don't have any set hours. I'll fill in for people generally. Although I am rostered on for about 20 hours this week, which is good. The money will come rolling in! Well, trickling in anyway. The pay's only $8 dollars an hour.

On the bus ride on the way home, I was horrified and yet strangely fascinated to see "The Twister's" giant face and twisting body on the side of a Garden City Bowl car driving down Colombo St. I hope to god this doesn't lead to us seeing him on billboards and such. That'd just be too scary.
