Featuring: Marul and Arali (both Haradrim).
In the early spring morning, the Lady of Farside is in the courtside, practicing with her scimitar. She works with especial intensity today, as if something weighed heavily on her mind. Hacking and slashing at an invisible opponent, there is nonetheless a look of distraction upon her face.
The door of the Farside Tower's barracks open a bit as Marul walks out, nodding courteously to the two guards. Making his way north up a cobbled path the corsair enters the tower's main grounds, looking with silent curiosity about the tower grounds and the fastness of Farside itself.
Breathing heavily, the Lady finishes the sequences of moves, apparently having vanquished the invisible foe. Letting her scimitar drop to the ground, she places her hands upon her knees and lets her head droop down. Letting the head rise again after a moment, she spies Marul and a smile comes to her lips as she waves the man over.
Marul nods to the Lady and quickens his pace, stopping before Arali, dropping to one knee and bowing his head in respect. The corsair stands and, with his head still bowed, waits for Arali to speak.
The Lady wipes the dirt off her finely-crafted scimitar, "You certainly may say, if that is how you feel. Your duty there shall only be to listen, listen and see the value of what they offer and the trustworthiness of their words. Also to defend the party if they were to attack, though we shall all spring to action if that be the case. Do you understand?"
"Yes, milady, I see." Marul continues nodding, listening to the Lady's words, repeating them silently in his mind. "I will listen, and perhaps learn, and do my best to protect the party."
Arali pauses a moment, peering at Marul as she reiterates, "It is also your duty to disagree with me when you feel I make a mistake. Don't forget that," she says. "There is one other thing...," the Lady hesitates for a moment, "Asides from my bodyguards, a Gondorian associate will be travelling with us. He is sworn to Farside and he will listen to the Gondorians, lest they speak in their native tongue and plot against us. It is good to have someone there who speaks their tongue."
Continuing to nod in agreement and understanding with the Lady, Marul says, "I see, a translator would be good to have if necessary."
Nodding once, the Lady begins to head towards the Tower, "Meet me in the stables one hour after sunset and we shall go. Be prepared for anything," and with a mischievous smile, the Lady heads to the Tower to finish preparations.
