MOM |
When I look at my future
When my childhood's long gone
The person I'd like to be like most
Would have to be my Mom
Her eyes twinkle brightly;
Love stares at you without vain
Her brow is wrinkled slightly
But still her beauty remains
Her skin is as smooth as the babies she's cared for
Her smile can warm any heart
And from her wise mouth all life lessons pour
They tell our lost souls where to start
Her arms have cradled so many tired ones to sleep
And her voice seems to ladle
The scare from a frightened child's weep
But the most important part of any mother
Are the hands that have worked so hard
A pair unlike any other
A pair with meaningful scars
A mother's love is the ultimate cure
For all your sad times
And even though now, I am not really sure
I hope my children will think the same of mine
