I understand the desire to make the Craft (pick one, any one) somehow conform to logic, as though a wholly right-brained approach will somehow make things offer up their inner secrets, allure, and mystery. But, at least from those I've spoken to and my own failed attempts before surrendering to the process, it just doesn't work that way.

There is a significant difference between newbie and wannabe, and I think definitions will clear some of the air. The acid test for wannabe is work, which will be embraced enthusiastically by the newbie--heart-hungry for the old ways.
