The Night Before Solstice

'Twas the night before Solstice, and all through the list;
Every participant was raving, for they'd all been dissed.
The lurkers were laughing, safe snug silently away;
In hopes that their Goddess, would come save the day.

Insults were thrown carelessly and flaming did abound;
Eternal vengance was sworn as everyone got put down.
Still there I sat typing and sending replies away,
Doing my part, just adding to the fray.

When out in Cyberspace there arose such a chatter,
I hit the anti-virus to see what was the matter.
Away to a separate window my computer did go,
In quick response to the yet unseen foe.

The screen it went black, as the night would allow,
Gave an ominous fright, a cackled and a howl.
When, what to my bloodshot eyes should reveal,
A woman dress in black, head to high heel.

She stood with a whip, as it snapped with a bark,
I knew in a moment, it was Mistress Out-o-t-Dark.
With a flick of her lash her coursers they came,
And she laughed out loud and called them by name.

"Now, Affront! now Outrage! now Humiliate and Abase!
On, Ridicule! on Taunt! on Degrade and Debase!
To the top of the screen! to the top of the list!
Now lash away! lash away! lash away this!"

Like the tides that rise before a tsunami's hit,
I knew the proverbial fan was now in the shit.
So up to the list-top the coursers they flew,
With a sleigh full of sleight, and it's Mistress too.

And then, in a twinkling, I saw on the screen,
The snips and snipes of each little scene.
I punched the ESC key, in hopes of an end,
To late it was, for my computer to defend.

She was dress all in leather, from her head to her feet,
With chains that danced, everytime she would speak.
A bundle of goodies, she had in a sack,
But she looked like a vixen, all garbed in black.

She wasted not a moment, but went right to work,
Downloading synonyms for the words putz and jerk.
Soon my hard drive was stocked with new demeans,
She smiled as she left, with eyes all agleam.

She sprang to her sleigh, to her team gave a crack,
And away they flew, another computer to hack.
But I heard her exclaim, ere she disappeared from veiw,
"More slashing, more bashing, more slander and slew."

One final thought, she bestowed before she split,
"I really don't care. I just don't give a shit!"
