The howling desert winds outside
Cannot intrude or affect me
My private world I perceive
Through softly filtered greens and pinks
All around me and within me
A bass drum vibration hums
Augmented by the smell of roses and vanilla
I have become aware of a tightening warm heat
Glancing down at my own body
I see two defiantly swollen pink buds
And I smile...........
Stretching like a jungle cat
I see them - at a glance - Your Roses
They stand out against a background of delicate pure white lilies
The change in them is magnificent
They have unfurled their pale outer petals
To reveal the miracle within
They have kept hidden their secret, Oh, so well....
But now, for the world to see
They proudly put on display
Their moist and deeply-hued core.
