CHAPTER 2
Misüka smiled, “Himura…” she spoke.

Kenshin looked at Misüka with his dark eyes. Misüka looked back into his… but she noticed something about his eyes. She stepped back. She could see all the pain he had went through. All the horror and blood he saw. The blood he shed. Misüka gasped. Himura looked at her oddly. “Miss Misüka?” he questioned.

Misüka leaned forward. “Your eyes…” she began.

Kenshin stood still and let her examine him. Misüka shook her head and snapped back to reality. “Sorry…” she said quietly, looking down.

Himura didn’t speak. “HEY! MISÜKA!” a scratchy voice hollered.

Misüka turned around. It was the man she kicked before. He was standing a couple feet away from her. “YOU’RE CAUSING A LOT OF TROUBLE, MISSY!” he screamed.

Himura stepped in front of Misüka. “Calm down, Siato… No use in causing such a disturbance over a woman now, is there?” Kenshin spoke rationally.

Siato scoffed and spat on the floor. He mumbled something and slowly walked away. “You didn’t need to go and do that.” Misüka’s voice was heard.

Himura looked back at Misüka. “It’s better if there isn’t any violence.” He replied.

Misüka glared at Kenshin. “No violence?! Damn you! I can see it in your eyes! You’re a killer yourself! Don’t go around making peace, while your just being a hypocrite yourself, going around assassinating people!” she yelled.

Himura’s eyes widened. There was a long silence. Misüka’s lavender eyes turned dark, full of anger. Kenshin stood still, almost not able to believe what Misüka just said. “Is there a problem here?” a female voice broke the silence.

Both of them faced the woman. It was one of the landladies. Misüka walked past Himura and toward the landlady. Misüka spoke calmly, as her eyes looked to be back to normal, “No… there is no problem…”

Kenshin watched Misüka as she walked back inside. The landlady glanced at Himura then also left. Kenshin sighed to himself. He looked around outside and noticed a beautiful bunch of flowers. He could smell the lovely fragrance in the air. He closed his eyes, as more memories flicked through his mind. “Himura!” a man’s voice called.

Kenshin opened his eyes and turned around. It was one of the men from inside. The man gestured for Kenshin to talk to him privately. Himura nodded and walked away with the man.

Misüka sat in her room by the window. She was reading a book quietly, thinking about Kenshin. She closed her eyes and threw the book somewhere. Damn him… that lousy hypocrite, she thought.

She opened her eyes, and looked outside. She could smell the essence of flowers outside. Misüka smiled slightly. She quietly whispered something to herself. Soon, the thought of Himura came back to her mind and she frowned. His eyes... she thought to herself, They were so dark… so cold… so…unloving…It was almost like I could see all his memories, just by looking into his
eyes…

She shook her head and shrugged. I just hope he can’t see my memories in my eyes…

Misüka looked up at the ceiling fan. What is wrong with me… I’m making such a big deal out of something… that… can be changed. I mean… I knew he was a killing before he mentioned” no violence”.

Misüka sighed to herself. “Himura…” she murmured.

A couple hours passed. The sun began to rise higher, as did the temperature. Misüka put her hair up nicely and was ready to eat lunch. She had been in her room all morning. Misüka headed towards the door and slid it open. She closed the door behind her as some landladies were passing by with plates and dishes full of wonderful delicious food. Misüka found her way to the mess room, she quietly opened the door. As she walked in every man’s face was staring at her… except for Himura’s. Siato had an evil glare and stared at Misüka as if she was dog that had just bit him. She ignored everyone’s expressions and sat down somewhere. “Miss Misüka! Here, have some rice and fish…” a landlady said with a gleeful smile on her face. She held out some dishes and put them in front of Misüka, on the small table. The lady also made sure to put plenty of sauce dishes for Misüka as well.

Misüka nodded and returned her smile. “Thank you, Miss Iyani…” she responded, as she looked at her delicious meal in front of her. Iyani leaned close to Misüka, whispering something. “Himura is a hott one, no?” Iyani giggled. Misüka was surprised and she blushed. She stuttered a couple times. “Wh-Wh-What do you mean?”

Iyani giggled again. “Ya know what I mean, Miss Misüka…” she commented and winked, as she passed heading to the next person.

Misüka watched Iyani get up and walk away. She looked down at her food… then glanced up at Himura, whom was eating his food quietly… and alone. Misüka shrugged, then picked up her chop sticks and began eating her food, like everyone else in the room. “Heyyyyyyy Misükaaaaaaa” one man called.

Misüka looked up. It was just another one of those, perverted, horny men. Misüka sighed heavily. “Yes?” she questioned nicely.

One man rose from his spot and walked toward her. Misüka watched as he marched over. She glanced around the room and noticed all the landladies had left. Probably to tidy up rooms. She began to feel a bit nervous. The man pulled out his hand toward Misüka. Misüka looked at his hand then looked at him with an odd expression. He sighed heavily, as if he was in a hurry. “C’mon!” he yelled, as her kneeled down and placed his hands on her waist. Misüka yelped and jumped up’ “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING!?” she screamed.

After hearing Misüka’s outburst, she had all of the men’s attention… even Himura’s. A couple chuckled quietly. Some whispered, with smirks on their faces. Himura, on the other hand, watched what was going on. The man, in front of Misüka rose up, grinning. “C’monnnnn let’s go have some fun ehhhh?” he said, as some more men rose up from their seats walking toward them.

Misüka had a feeling they weren’t coming to defend her. Himura was still sitting down, but he began to grow a bit concerned. Misüka looked all around her, guys coming in almost every direction. As Misüka was being distracted, by looking at the other men, the man, in front of her, grabbed Misüka. She screamed, “LET GO OF ME ASSHOLE!”

She elbowed him in the ribs and then high kicked him in the face. He let go of her, holding his face and moaning. He stepped back. Misüka got ready to fight any other guys that were going to jump her. Himura was about to get up, until a landlady, finally came in. “What’s going on here?!” she shrieked, seeing what was going on. The landlady glanced at Himura, whom was basically the only one still sitting down. All of the men, slowly walked back to where they were sitting. Misüka stood still. The landlady walked up
to Misüka. She didn’t move. “… I believe your other guests attempted to rape me… Next time… I will kill them.” Misüka said coldly and calmly.
