To achieve the ultra slammed low down look seen in the picture above we used a 4 corner air bag set-up with onboard controls and a 5 gallon reserve air tank. The first step in our installation was to secure the truck on jack stands for our safety and the safety of the truck. |
Then the factory shocks and springs were removed and set aside. A section of the front frame was then notched to allow for extra travel of the lower control arms. (picture 1) |

And a set of air bags replaced the lowered springs (picture 2) and were mounted in the factory spring locations. We then hand fabricated a set of custom shock mounts to give the truck a factory ride. (picture 3) |
The bed of the truck was then removed and set aside to also avoid any damage. (picture 4) |

We then removed all the old rear suspension parts and installed a custom fabricated C-notch to allow for extra axel travel when the truck was layed on it's frame. (picture 5) The rear air bags were then installed on the axel mounted perches and the shocks were re-installed. |
The final adjustments were made and the air hoses were run to the on board compresser. All the components were checked and double checked before the bed was placed back onto the truck. |
