Edgar thanking everyone, including the Governer, Mayor, baseball dignitaries, his family, and past & present teammates (Jay Buner, Norm Charlton, Dave Valle). Edgar received Kingdome & Safeco chairs, a "light bat", original oil painting of his stance, and the street on the South side of Safeco Field named after him (Edgar Martinez Dr. S.). Also, the AL Designated Hitter of the Year Award will now and forever be called "The Edgar Martinez Award"!
