Differences Between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man

The differences between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man as outlined on this page come in three categories: differences in the characters, differences in the games and differences in the hardware used to play the games. The games mentioned here are the original arcade Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man; that is, the first game each of the 2 characters was in. There are many other games with these 2 characters, especially Pac-Man; listing all the differences between those games would be an immensely difficult and time-consuming task. While I hope to make this page as complete as possible, due to the many differences between the 2 games I may miss 1 or 2 things.

Differences In the Machines

Internally, a Ms. Pac-Man machine has a daughtercard connected to the motherboard. This daughtercard changes the program so the machine will run Ms. Pac-Man with the differences described in the above sections.

Externally, the 2 machines have different side art, different marquees, etc.
