BACKGROUND

The 3/8-mile semi-banked dirt track is located in the Fun Valley Sports Complex in Hutchinson. The track has operated in that location for three or four decades under several different names--among them, Salt Hawk Speedway, Fun Valley Raceway, and Salt City Speedway.

Last year former Sprint Car driver Paul Dutton opened the track on Friday nights for the first time in several years. The track features IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Super Stocks, and Rookie Modifieds on a weekly basis, as well as Cruisers and Bombers on Sunday night.

Several special shows are highlighted on the 2002 Schedule, including 2 Topless Outlaw Racing Association Late Model shows and an Outlaw Sprint Car show around the 4th of July weekend.
