Windows on Irondequoit Art Project
Allan Gow's Design
Window Title: "Irondequoit 1776"
Description: The theme of this window is a patriotic one. I graduated from Irondequoit High in 1976,
the two hundredth anniversary of US independence. I thought it fitting that I honor our country and
the year I graduated.
Materials: I plan to paint the window ( frame ) a dark color, after adding some wood muntins. The stars
will be made of cut metal painted blue with white painted window screen attached to the back. The stars
will be attached to the window frame with screws. The red stripes of the flag will also be painted metal
attached to the frame with screws. They will be three dimensional, rising in front of the frame, curving
around, and back down to the frame for attachment. Likewise, the white stripes will be white painted
window screen attached to the window frame with screws.
I appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Allan W. Gow, AIA
