"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." (John 1:1-2).
Yes, God sent the Word, a part of Himself, to us and called Him Emanuel or Jesus. Jesus came into this world as a baby, born of a virgin called Mary. He came here to live among us, setting the "perfect" example for us to live by, teaching us how we must live our lives, to tell us that there is hope for us. Ultimately, He sacrificed his life for us so that we may be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life with Him.
Yes, Jesus suffered and died on that cross taking all the sins and curses of the world upon Himself. However, He defeated Satan and death when the Father raised him from the dead in three days. Jesus gave us power over death, over Satan. But most importantly, He gave us life everlasting.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:23)
"How great is the love that the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are!" (1 John 3:1).
Yes, Jesus made it possible for us to be called God's children and inherit His Kingdom. Not only a child but also gave us the mind of Jesus.
"For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" (2:16 Isaiah 40:13) But we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:16).
