Jim Hogg Park, Georgetown to Florence

DISTANCE: 26 miles round trip, not counting the Florence side trip. To add mileage, explore the other side of Hwy 183 ( from Andice, take 970 West).

DESCRIPTION: Nice flat route. Afterwords you can tell people you've been to Andice. ( The name is rumored to have come from the general store, where the sign many years ago said "beer and ice", but then the "beer" fell off.) Note on the map that part of the red route is shown. To make a really long ride, you could connect the two.

FOOD and WATER: There is a mini market in Andice, is there one in Florence? There must be, but I can't remember it.

WHERE TO START: Jim Hogg Park in Georgetown. To get there, take Williams Drive, and just past Sun City, look for the sign and take a left.

ROUTE: Go back out to 2338 ( Williams Drive) then turn right on cr 245. Go straight all the way to 970, then either right to check out Florence, or left to get to Andice. Take 970 all the way to Andice. From Andice, take 2338, then left on cr 250, straight across 2338 to cr 248, then back on 2338 to get back home.
