Georgetown to Schwertner

DISTANCE: About 40 miles round trip.

DESCRIPTION: Gentle hills and very little traffic.

FOOD and WATER: There is rumor of a Gatorade machine somewhere in Walburg. If the beer garder is open, I reccommend it.There is NOTHING in Schwertner.

WHERE TO START: San Gabriel Park in Georgetown or Georgetown High School. I think exit 261A then right on Williams Drive, then immediately left on Austin? Avenue.

ROUTE: Georgetown to Walburg: Go North past Georgetown High School, the right past the high school, then left through the neighborhood to cr 152. Left on 140, right on 150, left to stay on 150 to Walburg. Walburg to Schwertner: Left on 972, straight after the right turn to get on 1105. Take 1105 to Schwertner. Schwertner back to Georgetown: Go left on cr 487, then left on cr 303, then right on 1105 again and back to Georgetown the way you came.
