This is one of the nicer hikes in the park. Ouzel Lake is a great destination and there's plenty to see on the way there.
Ouzel Falls is about a five mile round trip and a nice destination if you're not up for a bigger hike.
Above the falls is the Ouzel Burn area. Lightning started a fire here in 1978 and the area is just now slowly recovering.
Ouzel is just about perfect for a morning of hiking. It's a beautiful lake with plenty to see on the way. There are plenty of comfortable shoreline rocks for relaxing too.
