I have always loved the styling of these cars. They are reminiscent of
the Deusenburgs of the thirties. This is a Model J with a 400 c.i.d. engine,
a QuadraJet and a 272 deg. cam.
I bought my first one back in 1974, but lost it in a divorce. When I bought
this one in 1994, it was Verduro Green, but needed paint, and I thought
that it would look good in white, so I traded a Honda XR500 to a friend
to do the job.
This picture was taken on the Route 66 Fun Run that is put on by the Historic
Route
66 Assn. of Arizona every spring.
