One million sins

19/4/98

Congratulations!
This is your millionth sin
And just because you re poor
Or black, female, gay or more
You've been condemned to hell
To writhe in Satan s fires

This was the way in the old days
When god was cranky old man

This is what s happening today
Where God is a fluffy little lamb

Abortion clinic bombings celebrated
Because women can't think for themselves
The Church, The State must do it for us

The Pope is still linfallible and elevated
A God on this earth, in a billion heads
Says the poor are viruous in poverty

You can still buy your way to heaven
The powerful do as they please
The priests kiss rings on their knees

So while you simply desire another
Of any shape, size of colour, or
Want some more of those precious dollars
The rich and powerful can do that they want
For their sins are not merely human
But those of millions of littles gods
And the Church needs money in its vaults

So don t be ashamed of your sings
Your one million evil sins
A million times you were human

Fashion Nation

16/7

She s on TV again
And I m thinking(something she couldn't ken)
that she should throw away
the pastels colourful clothes
and adopt something more fitting

I'm sure she d look better
In a little black or brown number
(but she doesn t like those colours)
attractivve to any plumber
in her new s-s so sexy uniform
enough to turn any head
sharp as a knife to the right

She d be a smashing success
In Sydney s outer west
What with some new boots
And a nice little armband
For we all know, politics is style
Fashion uber alles

Don t look for innovation
Or any great surprises
But I can tell you one thing
Bedsheets will be in
When we finally become united,
One sartorial nation.
