Born to be Wild Dog

The 2007 "Eagle Pack" Wild Dog Derby is an Australian Sleddog Sports Association sanctioned point score event. All breeds of dog may compete. Adult classes are open to anyone 15 yrs and over. Junior entries (under 15) can be included on same form as parent/guardian. Parent/guardian must give written consent for all entries under 18 years of age.

A Novice class, one-dog Veteran class (for dogs over 7 yo), one-dog Touring class and Junior class (Kid n' Mutt) will be run over the Novice course, in addition to the major classes . The Novice class is a one-dog class open to any driver 15 yrs and over, who has not completed one Open Class race or three Breed Club races (other than in Novice Class) prior to January this year. Competitors may be asked to transfer to another class if there are insufficient entries in a class. The tracks are subject forest availability and may be reduced depending on track and weather conditions.

Camping is available in the forest, adjacent to the start/finish area. Forestry SA charges $3per adult and $1 per child per night. Please pay camping fees in advance. Motel rooms are available at Chateau Barrosa - 85244268 (http://www.chateaubarrosa.com.au )

The 12th Mushers' Banquet will also be held at the race site. This fully catered meal is enjoyed in a heated marquee and always attracts a last minute rush for bookings, and there's a limit to how many spares we can order, so get in early! (see entry form to order).

Entry fee includes free BBQ lunch after each heat. Hot Wild Dog Pancakes will once again be available each morning for breakfasts at $1 per serve.

Drivers meetings will be at 7.00am each morning.
