THE CAPYBARA

The Capybara is the largest living rodent. The capybara grows to a length of about 1.3 meters (4 feet), is 0.6 meters tall (2 feet) can weighs up to 80 kilos (175 pounds), is semi aquatic and herbivorous. It can be easily described as a giant guinea pig. It is found in few parts of the world. It lives in pairs or families along the banks of rivers and lakes in South America.

We, at WILDEX, have our farm (Wildlife Ranch) located in one of the most privileged areas to heave this animal and in a large quantity. This area is located in the heart of South America in the northern part of the country and South of the Brazilian Pantanal. The farm generates its own and unique microclimate thanks to its extraordinary 2,000 hectare-lake (5,000 acres) locate in its center.

The Capybara meat is very appetizing. Its oil has curative properties for the asthma. Its tat is used in the preparation of medicinal products because of its high iodine content. Its leather is one of the strongest by usage but smoothest by touch. The capybara leather is known around the world as an excellent hide for leather goods. The style and elegance is unique. You can enjoy one of the most important leather around the world. Different kinds of articles are made of Capybara leather: canvas shoes, slippers, coats, vests, jackets, gloves, wallets, suitcases, luggage, belts, boots, backpacks and handbags among others. For its cleaning, we suggest using neutral soaps (glycerin) and water without chlorine (distilled water), or carbon tetrachloride diluted with three parts of pure water.
