Games We Play

We all play games from day to day

I hurt you, you hurt me.

But come now is this something we really need.

I don't like pain, I never have.

But you've opened old wounds with every stab.

Your words are like a knife of steel, showing me what not to feel.

I play games too, I hurt you.

I want to make you feel the pain of my words too.

This world of ours is one big play.

We all act from day to day.

We never show what's deep inside,

Always scared and wanting to hide.

Let's stop now and really start,

To open and share our lonely hearts,

We can do it, I know we can -

Just give it a try - it's easy man.
