There is a $100 adoption fee (no check needed, when you fill out the form it is understood that you have paid) to pay for trailering and feed expenses for the adopted horse.

If at ANY time you can no longer care for your adopted horse, you MUST return it to the Preserve. Your adopted horse CANNOT be sold, traded, or auctioned. You may however breed your adopted horse, and sell its offspring. These rules are true to the BLM's procedures and in no way are created to restrain the adopter.

On your farm, you should have about a 1-acre pasture with a 6-foot Diamond Mesh fence to ensure your adopted horse's safety.

You can only adopt ONE HORSE per round-up. No exceptions.
