FARMALL F-12

It’s called the Farmall F-12

Into whose history we will delve.

The little RED tractor, we will find,

In 1937, was one of a kind.

They painted it red, for safety you see,

‘Cause sometimes, on the road it would be.

The McCormick company, was first in the line,

The change in 1936, also, made it look so fine.

She went through the fields, with efficiency and style,

And with pride made the farmer on the seat, smile.

It was so pleased, to be cultivating food for America’s own,

Far ahead of the big boys, she could be had, for almost a song.

Out in the grain, all day, not stopping to rest,

She steadily went, to her owner, the best.

Her performance, loyalty, and stability was grand,

And she purred steadily, as she tilled the land.

Now, after all these years, in another time to glow,

She stood proud, running smooth, the highlight of the show.

At Huron County Fair, 2001,

The Restoration Project, successfully done.

Little Red, we salute you, and your years of hard work,

And the man, who owned you, your maintenance did not shirk.

To Kenneth V. Ensign Sr., and Little Red, you’ll always be,

Number one, to your family, and to me.
