The Wild Pigs ® Motorcycle Club was started in San Jose, Calif. in 1987.  A group of approximately 15 police officers from the San Jose Police Dept. who sometimes rode together, took a ride to Carmel, Calif. It was a great day in the making of a future club.  The rides continued and sometime later the Santa Clara County Sheriffs Deputies were invited to join in on the rides.

The club continued to grow in an informal status but as we gathered more and more riders, we realized that we would have to formalize and create rules for us to operate properly.

A Santa Clara County S.O. came up with the idea for the logo while coming home from a ride and after much thought and work, he was able to come up with what is now a well recognized symbol to all law enforcement officers.

Today, the Wild Pigs motorcycle club is one of the most recognizable names of all motorcycle clubs in the United States and we continue to grow with new chapters forming constantly.
