This is her Valentine's gift to me.
You can make this into a scrubbie or a coaster. It is pretty as both.
Materials:
Scrubbie:
You can use either -
H hook and 14 yds of 100% polyester rug yarn(I used Aunt Lydia's Heavy Rug Yarn
in white for the one in the photo)
or you can use a G hook and about the same length of plastic canvas yarn(100%
nylon)
Coaster:
G hook and worsted weight yarn in cotton or acrylic.
Instructions -
Chain 5, join with sl st in 1st ch to form a ring. Ch 2(do not turn through out pattern).
Round 1: In ch 5 ring do 10 hdc. Join with sl st in top of ch 2. Ch 2.
Round 2: Hdc in joining st. 2 hdc in each st around. Join with sl st in top of ch 2. Ch 2.
Round 3: Hdc in joining st. *1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat * around to end. Join with sl st in top of ch 2. Ch 2.
Round 4: Hdc in joining st. *1 hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st. Repeat * around to end. Join with sl st in top of ch 2. Ch 1.
Round 5: Sc in same st as joining. *Ch 4, skip next 3 sts and sc in the 4th st. Repeat * around ending with sl st in top of 1st sc.
Round 6: Sl st into next ch 4 space. Ch 1.* Sc, hdc, dc, trc, dc, hdc, sc. Repeat * in each ch 4 space around ending with a sl st in 1st sc of row. Fasten off and weave in ends.
