More Richmond Pictures Along Main Street Route 60 |
Edgar Allan Poe Flags of Virginia and America wave from the flowers in front of Poe’s Shrine on Richmond’s Main Street (Route 60). There were no Federal Highways in Edgar's day, so he took the train to visit his other haunts. |
Route 360, a daughter of the mother-road Route 60, turns east to the Chesapeake, while Sixty continues down Richmond’s tobacco row. The Philip Morris factory in the background is where I started work at PM in 1970. |
