Oklahoma 14 - Texas 3

Oklahoma City — Cousin Earnie Cornelius showed me the town, lunch at The Cattleman, then home to watch the UO vs UT game. Peggy and Earnie, always treating me to good, took me out for Mexican.  Then my bike, lost in Fort Worth, showed up on the evening train. It's good to have a bike when you're going on a bike trip.
The big game had gone Oklahoma's way and the city celebrated. Bricktown, similar to Shockoe Slip in Richmond, had a pub called The Biting Sow. A sign over the bar warned "Don't order any Foo-Foo drinks, this is a Blues Club, not a Boutique."  I closed the evening in the Bricktown Brewery drinking a Buffalo Weizen and watching the football-victory party.

Bricktown's canal is lined with shops and resturants, a good thing.
Richmond should take notice.

This Baptist Church on 2nd St. is about all that remains of Oklahoma City’s African American main street, destroyed by “urban renewal.” The street, home of Blues and Jazz, is missed and is now being restored.
An interesting comparison to Richmond, this 2nd Street is called “Deep Deuce”, ours “Two Street.”
