This story was entered in a competition that required the German first sentence and only 100 words. It won no prizes.
"Da waren schon wieder Ratten im Soufflé"
He kept repeating it.
The translator said:
"There were already again rats in the soufflé"
Was it old German, Yiddish or colloquial?
The temporal displacer was set to one hour before the meteorite hit Greenland. The man was at the predicted point of impact. He was displaced to the World Government HQ in Durban in 5AI. He died in 21AI and had no children.
The question is:
Should he be displaced to New Frankfurt 1342AI today so we can ask what he meant?
