Back in the mid 1980s, Dale Flood established the heavy metal musical band, Unorthodox. I was first privileged to see them perform in September of 2004 in Frederick Maryland. The band’s main genre is heavy metal in the style of Black Sabbath. However Dale and his crew play entirely, their own original songs. Unorthodox is a three piece group with Dale Flood as lead guitarist and vocals, Dale’s friend Mark as backup guitarist and Mike Phillips as drummer. These guys work regular day jobs and rehearse in the basement of a friend in the City of Rockville, two nights a week.
