The Family Update

by Ruth

November has seen the Grande Finale of all the work on Rodney's part, since he started in January with teaching the primary children all of the songs for the Sacrament Meeting Presentation. He's so good with children! and music! I've had a lot of fun being a teacher in Primary, with him as Primary Chorister!
Ryan has begun the paperwork and interviews for his mission. Now there's immunizations, a physical, and wisdom teeth to extract (FUN, FUN, FUN!). I think he can turn in his papers as early as January 2205. This month we also celebrate 3 birthdays!!! Reanna turned 10 on the 8th, GrammaMom turned 72 on the 9th, and Roxanna turned 14 on the 12th. WHEW! Sunday evenings this monthe are quiet with Rodney, Rebecca, and Rachel going to Hemet to practice in the Stake Choir for the Christmas Musical. The choir will perform on the 18th and 19th of December.

The Round-little-Pigs Thanksgiving

By Roxanna Willardson

It all started when my siblings and me where sitting around one day and we had nothing to do."Lets go fishing!" Said the plump little pig"No biking!" Suggested the blue eyed pig "No I have a better idea! Lets go hunt for a turkey!" Said the roundest-little-pig in excitement. Everyone chimed in. "That’s a lame idea." And "I don’t want to, lets go get one from the store!"

The round-little-pig was sad because no one wanted to go hunt for a turkey with her, so she took her tape and a wagon (to put the turkey in of course!) and set off, down the road. She was determined to get a turkey. She walked past the big tree and the little pond. It wasn’t too long before she heard a gobbling. Her eyes were wide with excitement. "A turkey! A turkey!" The Round-little-pig said jumping up and down. She pulled her wagon a little farther.

"Hello? Mr. Turkey sir?" She said looking around for a sign of some sort of bird. That’s when she saw it. The biggest turkey she had ever seen. It must have been twice her size! She smiled at the turkey, it looked angry. It dug its feet into the ground. It was going to charge. "Oh no!" Said the round-little-pig aloud." He’s going to get me!" She was really scared now and right as the turkey was coming at her she jumped out of its way.

She suddenly remembered her tape. She took a bit of it off and as the turkey came at her again, she jumped at its feet and tied it up. It took some time to put it into the wagon, because it was twice her size after all, but she got it in after shoving and pushing it, I think it finely let her win and got in.

She pulled her wagon up to her house. Everyone came running out in awe. "You actually got the turkey?" They said in shock. "Yup! And you could have seen it if you had come with me!" Said The round-little-pig "Yay! This Thanksgiving is gonna be neat!" They said to each other."Wait one moment. I’ve made friends with the turkey, so we’re keeping him and his name will be Wilber!" Said the Round-little-pig folding her arms. The piggy’s were shocked but they agreed and instead for Thanksgiving they had some Chicken, but they had to convince Wilber it wasn’t a bird of any relation.

So all’s well that ends well. The piggy family had a wonderful Thanksgiving and they wish you one too!

Individual Updates

Reid had a lot of fun in the snow...even if he did lose every snowball fight.

Reanna was writing this down and 12:07 PM on November 20, 2004.  Oh, and she had her 10th Birthday this month!

Roxanna turned 14 this month and went to her first dance.

Rebecca is still doing the election victory dance.  Wanting to do her part in the election she volunteered for the RNC and went poll watching on election day.
Rachel is very happy that President Bush has been reelected. Rodney is looking forward to Thanksgiving.

Ruth: "The house is totally decorated for Fall. Leaves are all around the house, inside and out (until the Santa-Ana's come and blow the ones OUTSIDE to Temecula!). Pumpkins abound (I even grew some of my own, hehe!) the party lights adorn the arbour, spicy candles and christmas music fill the air. Oh, yes, it is the BEST TIME OF THE YEAR! Oh yes, I must have forgotten to mention Tigger-Boy, a VERY wild animal that I have be-friended, and named after our beloved Tigger. (another "farrell cat" we found as a kitten when we were first married. She lived to be 21 years old). Tigger-Boy has bitten me twice...but I'm a sucker for a good conquer. Now, I can proudly proclaim that I have finally won him over! He loves Rodney too...actually (grumble, grumble) he PREFERS Rodney. Where is the honor and gratification in a good conquer, when someone else comes in and takes all the glory???"

Rosilynn: "Well three birthdays this month and we still haven't sent out some cards but hey there's still Thanksgiving." Ryan received his mission papers this month.  Now he just has to get them filled out.
