Welcome to
POND ala' BUTCHER
We hope you will enjoy our pond
as much as we have this summer.
Our pond was dug the end of May of 2001. It measures 9' x 12' and 36" deep in the middle with a 1' plant shelf all the way around except for under the waterfall.  The waterfall has 3 levels flowing into the pond with an incredibly soothing sound!!! It took my husband and dad about 5 hours total to dig. I would have helped dig ...HA HA!! They would have sent me to Menards... I think):). We put in a .45mil liner with carpet pad underneath... great insulator and cheap!!! We had the pond filled and lined with flagstone with waterfall flowing by the next weekend.:) The pond itself was not as difficult to construct as the waterfall.  That thing took some time...but it was well worth it!!

I cannot believe how fast everything is growing... even the fish are getting big!:)  Two weeks ago, my husband and I hard piped the pump in..
