Day Eight
Morning: Pathology and Forensics with Dr. Kent Heck
Dr. Heck presented two slideshows about forensics, pathology, and autopsies. He
explained the history, the rationale, the procedures, the controversies, and the
necessities of post-mortem human examination.

After the morgue, the walking tour of the mini-museum's within the medical
center.
Dr. Elizabeth Eaton guided the participants on a walking tour of the Heart
Center Museum at St. Luke's Hospital and the museum at the M.D. Anderson Cancer
Center.






Afternoon: Genetics on the Web with Donald Barclay
Mr. Barclay handed out lists of the Web's best Genetics resources, and
participants played a scavenger-hunt game to locate specific information.
He also explained how to judge a website for relevance, authority, accuracy, and
other characteristics. Mr. Barclay's list of recommended websites are at the
bottom of this page.
