She let out a sigh and rested her head on the seat. " I'm sooo going to be late", she thought. Frustrated, she started to sing along with the taxi driver's blaring radio while she waited for the traffic jam to clear up.....
Meannwhile at Heathrow Airport.....
"God where in the world is she?", Mary asked herself as she was scanning the small group of twenty something people in front of her. " Don't worry I'm sure she'll make it!", replied her colleague John. " I sure hope she does because the plane is going to start boarding the passengers in less than fifteen minutes!", she said with a worried look on her face.John just smiled because he had just noticed the young woman in question running out of a taxi and rushing over to the British Airways ticket counter."Look who's here !", he said to Mary as he pointed torwards the ticket counter.
"VICTORIA, you made it !", Mary and John exclaimed in unison.
"Yeah, well believe it or not I almost thought I would'nt ", she said as she laughed with relief.
"Come on , it's time to board the plane.", John reminded the group as he checked his watch.
The group left excited to make the trip half-way around the world.
At their arrival, they were guided by fellow co-workers who had been staying there for the past few weeks. Everyone shared their rooms with 3 other persons. Victoria awaited to learn who were going to be her fellow roomates-mates.
"Sarah Thompson, Elsa Jeeves, June Smithers, and Victoria Wellington are in room #4.", said Oliver, the volunteer who was helping them settle in.
Victoria got up slowly, picking-up her bags as she carefully made her way to room #4. With one hand she twisted open the doorknob as the other held her heavy bags. "Hey Vicki,!", Elsa said as she noticed Victoria coming in. "Need any help with those bags?"
"No it's ok , I'll manage!' The other girls were soon to follow and they spent a good 15 minutes getting to know each other.
Everyone was assigned a task each day, and the very first day Victoria had to clean the bathrooms with some guy named William ( since most of the time the tasks were done in teams.). "Oh great !", she thought to herself," The guy is late on top of everything". Frustrated, she decided to start cleaning the latrines herself. A few minutes later, she heard foosteps, opening the door, she noticed a tall young guy approaching her.
"Sorry I'm late"
