I realise I've been really lacking with the update, but life's been pretty busy recently. Anyway, what with the release of Black and White on Wednesday 5th, I thought I'd better get myself in gear and update! There is now an official website out there for this film, which you can find at the official website.
William has also been featured in this month's issue of Sky Magazine in the UK. I don't usually buy the mag since it's deemed a 'lad mag', but I couldn't resist buying it as I saw this edition was a Young Hollywood special. Imagine my suprise when William was first in a feature called 'The Frat Pack', an article on the faces to look out for. It was exciting to see Will get some recognition, especially in a Brit magazine. You can read the article by clicking here, or visiting the Interviews/Articles page.
Finally, movieline.com also thinks Will is a face to look out for. They are running a poll to determine the most popular actors/actresses/film etc. in The Young Hollywood Awards, and Will is included in the Breakthrough Performance '99 - Male category. Use this link to go and vote for him now!
I know this news is a little old, but it's still worth mentioning anyway. The Steve Harvey Show was successful at the recent NAACP awards, picking up best series award, best actor in a comedy series (Steve Harvey), and best supporting actor in a comedy series (Cedric "The Entertainer"). Harvey also won an Image Award for his performance in It's Showtime at the Apollo. Big thanks goes to Sarah, who recently sent over a couple of episodes of this show. It is a very funny show, and Will works well with comedy. If anyone has bought the Special Edition of October Sky on video, could they possibly send me an email and let me know what the extra footage is, please?
October Sky is due for release on VHS 15th February. Apparently a Special Edition is also to be released featuring extra footage. What this extra footage is exactly is unknown, but I hope to find out soon. It could well be the 'Spotlight on Location' feature included on the DVD, but I'm hoping it's extra film footage.
