Fighting The War On Spam

You get it you spend way too much time deleting it. You know those annoying advertisements that arrive in your e-mail commonly referred to as spam. According to some, the transmission of spam e-mail messages has quadrupled in the last year alone. Post on a newsgroup, or on a web based message board, and your are marked for life to receive pitches for low interest loans, Internet casinos, prescription drugs, and just about every shady operation you can think of.

E-mail Scams

Recently in a city about 40 miles where I live, 20 people lost over 6 million dollars to an e-mail scam.  Just after the losses I recieved the e-mail that advertised the scam, Here I put that e-mail and I will put other scams that arrive in my e-mail.

Computer Maintenance

Anybody who puts any shred of pride in their automobile does not expect to drive year in and year out without changing the oil every three thousand miles or getting a tune up once or twice a year. Anyone who saves for years to make a down payment on a house can’t possibly hope the house that they will spend years to come paying off expect that they won’t being repainting once every ten years or putting new shingles on the roof every twenty five years. Houses and cars need regular maintenance. So why do people expect that their computers they spend several hundred to a few thousand dollars will keep working for the two to three years that they will using the computer like the way it did the first day they owned it without a little basic maintenance?
