A slight story, "The Planet of Giants" is far more well known for the things that went wrong during its production and development than for anything that actually happens during its seventy odd minutes of screen time. It's by no means an epic, but none the less rather good, if a little hackneyed in both characterisation and plot- do many leading pesticide manufacturers keep their scientific research department (one man) in a shed at their country house?
