Fire.
"Idiot" There was contempt in her voice
and fire in her eyes. "I can do whatever I want."
She stood up from the couce and looked arround
the living room. The flickering light from the fireplace
dimly illuminated the wood paneled room and lit up
her long, unruly brown hair like a glowing ember.
"No," I told her, "You can't go arround hurting other
people."
She frowned and put her hands in her bluejeans
pockets. She took a deep breath, weather deciding
something or reminding me of her gender I wasn't
sure. The look she gave me would have burnt me to
the ground were I not made of sterner stuff.
"You truly have no idea what an idiot you are."
She pulled her hands from her pockets and looked
at her fingers.
"My inteligence is not the issue, your manners
are." She looked over at me and I met her gaze.
"Idiot." Her hands burst into flame. "I do as
I please." A small flame leaped from her hands
to my chest. I quickly patted out my burning
jacket.
"So you're a fire elemental, that dosn't excuse
bad maners."
"You stupid mortal!" Superheated rage built within
her. "Die!" She pointed her hands toward me and an
arc of flame blazed forth, engulfing my body and
incinerating my clothing.
"You don't get it, do you?" I asked, ashes falling
from my body.
"Get what?" She asked, taken aback that I
was not a cinder smouldering on the floor.
"Look at my shadow, you have the eyes." In
the flickering firelight this was an unreasonable request.
Seing her befuddled look, I approached her. "Look into
my eyes." I closed to her, until my nose was an inch
from hers. She'd made me very angry, angry enough
to do what I did next.
Taking a deep breath, I breathed a puff of fire
in her face.
She jumped from surprise, the fire didn't hurt her.
Slowly, a mile spread across her face, and like
a wildfire broke into a grin.
"So, dragon, what are you going to do with me?"
She leaned foreward and her breasts brushed lightly against
my chest.
I laughed and gave her my best toothy gring.
"Why, eat you, of course."
