Glen Canyon
A really good little bouldering area to have in suburbia. It's about 10mins drive from the city centre down the 280, not far from Glen Park shops/BART etc. If only we had a couple of these in Melbourne :((
A view as you walk in, showing most of the main tier of bouldering. The fellow at far left is on the 'token highball problem'. Also note the guy emerging from the cave on the right.
Peter on one of the 'short' problems. This also shows the unique striated layers of the rock here. Each layer is incredibly hard rock, sort of like marble and it has sharp edges which can wear through your hands pretty quickly!
Here's me on the token highball problem. There's a 5m drop below into hideous sharp boulders. And no I didn't fill my pants even though it may look like it!
