The New England Tablelands

These crags are located around the Armidale region, in northern NSW. While developed a fair while ago, recent developments have seen the number of high grade climbs go up. In particular, the ringpull boulder at Gara Gorge, developed by Andy Audetat (sp?), is just ridiculous! At about 15 or 20 degrees overhanging, and not a single hold on it bigger than half a knuckle - all I can say is he must have had shredded fingers by the time he was finished! I recommend grabbing a guidebook from Armidale Outdoors - Ebor Gorge by Mark Colyvan, and Gara Gorge by Al Stephens.
