CHARLES NOBLE : A POPULAR SIGNALMAN

Via this link you will be able to access an article on Charles Noble, a Signalman and early trade unionist.

The article was found in our family bible and I had to find another copy because the article was very damaged, so much so that the bottom paragraphs were actually unreadable. It was originally published in the January 1906 issue of the "RAILWAY REVIEW" (the railway review was a trade union magazine).

Special thanks to the Warwick Modern records library for corresponding with me and supplying the transcript of the article.

Clipping of the death announcement of Robert Frederick Ould (although we assume he was know as Frederick) from a local paper, part of the family bible papers.

Newspaper articles relating to William Henry Ould born 23 February 1895 - who was a fisherman from Torquay, Devon. For more info on the OULD family click on the link below.

Entry for the death of Thomas ROWLAND (1769-1856), a Quarryman, shipowner lime producer and entrepreneur, who owned the now exclusive Queen Anne's battery, in the Coxside area of Plymouth.
