God's healing powers are indeed a mystery to us. We all yearn to see one of His great healing miracles on this earth. This is especially true when it concerns one of our loved ones who is facing a terminal illness.

During the 2 years my husband was given to live on this earth, we believed, we prayed, we read healing Scriptures, we asked everyone we knew to pray for his healing. God did not choose to heal him in this manner.

At his bedside, the very day of his Homegoing, he was still asking me to read the healing Scriptures. I did so through many tears. We never stopped believing that God was going to heal him......and so He did.

The healing came not in the way we would conceive of a miracle taking place, but in His whole and complete way, God healed Ed. When he took his last breaths on the evening of Dec 27th, 1995, God was transferring his spirit to his Heavenly Home to live forever. I believe angels surrounded his bed and carried him straight into the arms of Jesus. What a healing miracle our Lord performed!

Ed is no longer in pain, he is no longer unable to breath on his own, he is walking and running through fields of flowers where there is no death and the sun never sets. What more of a miracle could we ask for. All Glory be to the Father for His healing power, either on this earth or Completely Healed in Heaven.

COMPLETELY HEALED

(Verse 1)
We travelled down the road that we call life,
We saw the sunshine through the clouds.
Then winter's darkness settled over us,
Bringing days of fear and doubt.
God gave all the strength to bear the pain,
Because the news we heard was sad.
We smelled the roses each and every day
In the time that God allowed.

(Chorus)
Completely healed,
You're safe in the arms of Jesus,
No more pain, no hurt, no tears, no cares.
Completely healed,
I know you're Home in Heaven.
When life's circle is complete for me,
I'll meet you there.

(Verse 2)
You were a fighter from the very start,
Our faith was strong that you'd be healed.
We didn't want to think we'd ever part,
And so to Heaven we appealed.
I know that Heaven must have heard our cries,
I know the Father heard our pleas.
But He chose to heal in His own way,
And His healing was complete.

(Verse 3)
As you struggled for life's final breath,
Angels hovered 'round your bed.
They seemed to whisper, it's by His Blood you live,
Though to earth you may be dead.
Heaven's waiting now, soon you will arrive,
And when your journey is complete,
I know you'll bow down before Jesus up there,
Shouting victory so sweet.

(Repeat Chorus)
Completely healed,
You're safe in the arms of Jesus,
No more pain, no hurt, no tears, no cares.
Completely healed,
I know you're Home in Heaven.
When life's circle is complete for me,
I'll meet you there.

(Ending)
When life's circle is complete for me,
I'll meet you there,
I'll meet you there.

How The Song Completely Healed Was Given To Me

I was at the Monument Company, deciding on the headstone for Ed's burial site, wondering what I might have inscribed on it. I feel the Lord gave me the idea at that time for the song Completely Healed. Later that day, I began writing lyrics and music for the song. The song was finished except a couple of small things and Jack Toney of Gaithers Homecoming, finalized it. Jack has since gone Home to be with Jesus. Completely Healed has been a source of comfort to many people and I give God all the Praise for all that is accomplished through this moving song.

Thank you Elton Smith at

http://songsofpraise.org

for keeping this song on your site and making a very pretty midi before I actually had it recorded. I believe Elton has sheet music for the song on his site also.

****If you would like to sing the song with a background tape, please contact me and I will be happy to arrange for you to receive one.

SECOND CHANCES

The touching story of how God brought my husband and I back together after a divorce, before we learned of his impending terminal illness.

HOSPICE

I would like to commend the dedicated workers of Hospice for their love and care of my husband before he went Home. He was only bedridden 3 weeks of his 2 year illness and those were the most heartbreaking and physically demanding of the entire 2 years. Hospice was there to help me with information, help, understanding, physical assistance and love. I went into shock when Ed did go Home, and it took me 2 weeks to realize he had died. When the grief process did begin, I was sitting at the house alone, my heart breaking because I had faced the truth that Ed wasn't here on this earth any longer. Who should come to visit but a Hospice worker! She was there to listen, console and validate my grief at just the right time. God Bless all the Hospice workers for all your love and help!
