Dragons

One warm and sunny summers eve
I met some Dragons and stayed for tea
The female Dragon gave me a stare
The male Dragon did chase maidens fair
These Dragons breathed no fire or smoke
Just told me tales about some folk
Who came to see them in the night
And helped them with their private fight
I felt no fear while sitting there
These Dragons had no teeth to bear
They just want justice and the right
To sing and dance in bright moonlight
Come join us said the lady one
We’ll share our magic and have some fun
I’m sure that you are one of us
We’ll teach you spells and all that stuff
When other folk did arrive
The Dragons they did start to strive
To sort them out with no divide
We are nothing they did cry
Our power comes from the sky
The night went on and I could see
These Dragons were a part of me
So now my tale is near its end
These Dragons have become my friends
I call on them when things get tough
And they have taught me loads of stuff
I also go when Dragons roar
Through the sky I do soar
My blade in hand if need be
These Dragon you see
Mean the world to me
